One-week pop-up in Paris: when one or two weeks is realistic
The right duration depends on what the pop-up must learn or achieve. One week can suit a concentrated launch or existing audience; two weeks can provide more selling cycles and recovery time. Both still require installation, live operation, replenishment, removal and handover.
Four duration questions
The calendar should follow the commercial model.

Compare one and two weeks as operating models.
The venue period should include access outside the advertised opening dates.
| Decision area | One-week pop-up | Two-week pop-up | Evidence to request |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best fit | Launch, capsule, community moment, press-retail crossover or event with a concentrated invitation plan | Broader retail test, customer acquisition, repeat visits, several programmed moments or more product depth | Audience plan and objective hierarchy |
| Setup share | Installation and removal represent a larger share of the occupation and total effort | Fixed setup can be spread across more live days, though staffing and operating costs continue | Full occupation schedule and supplier quotes |
| Demand generation | Works best when the brand can concentrate owned, partner or press attention | Allows more time for local discovery, content, partnerships and word of mouth | Daily traffic source assumptions |
| Learning | Limited time to observe, change merchandising and retest | More cycles to adjust hours, product edit, staffing and communications | Daily sales and observation plan |
| Stock + team | Smaller window but high opening pressure; replenishment errors are hard to recover | More replenishment, rota, cleaning, fatigue and security management | Stock cover, delivery plan and staff rota |
| Risk | Poor weather, delayed build or a weak first days can consume much of the run | Higher committed rent and operating spend if demand remains below plan | Scenario budget and stop/change decisions |
Choose the duration from the main job.
A pop-up cannot maximise launch impact, research, sales and community equally in a short run.
Concentrated launch
A one-week format can work when invitations, creators, partners, PR and product release are aligned around a small number of strong moments.
Selling and replenishment
Two weeks may justify the build when the brand needs more trading days, several weekends or time to improve the offer after observing real customers.
Market and format test
A longer run is useful only if the team captures questions, product interest, traffic source and operational friction and can make changes while open.
Compare total project cost, not rent per week.
The decision changes installation share, labour, security, cleaning, stock handling, marketing, accommodation and management time. A second week is valuable when the additional live days have a defined commercial use.
Approve the duration only when these are answered.
The most realistic plan is the one the team can operate consistently.
NEITHER DURATION IS UNIVERSALLY CHEAPER OR BETTER. THE DECISION DEPENDS ON THE ADDRESS, FULL OCCUPATION, BUILD, AUDIENCE ACQUISITION, PRODUCT, STAFF AND COMMERCIAL OBJECTIVE.
