AMONT · MEDIUM-SCALE VENUE PLANNING

150–250 m² showroom and event spaces in Paris

Between 150 and 250 m², a venue can support several credible zones without becoming a production campus. The value lies in balanced proportions: a clear main use, one or two secondary functions, protected back-of-house and enough circulation to let appointments or guests overlap without conflict.

Four medium-space decisions

Resolve them before filling the plan.

01 · Lead
Which use owns the room?
02 · Overlap
What happens simultaneously?
03 · Support
What stays out of sight?
04 · Route
How do guests and suppliers move?

Use the band for programmes that need controlled overlap.

The same surface can perform very differently according to rooms, levels and support area.

Three planning advantages of the 150–250 m² band.

They appear only when support functions are protected.

Zoning

Separate public and working modes

A second room, deeper bay or upper level can protect meetings, fitting, interviews or staff work while the main presentation remains coherent.

Measure · acoustic and visual separation
Flexibility

Change programme without rebuilding everything

The scale can host appointments by day and a controlled press or hospitality moment later, provided furniture, technical and cleaning transitions are designed.

Measure · reset duration
Efficiency

Reach useful scale without campus overhead

Compared with larger venues, staffing, wayfinding and technical distribution can remain manageable. Compared with compact spaces, back-of-house need not consume the commercial room.

Measure · net client-facing utility
AMONT field position

Count simultaneous activities before guests.

Place rails, tables, interview equipment, hospitality, stock, staff and supplier routes first. Then count how many people can use each zone comfortably and safely. A total guest number without a time and zone model is commercially weak evidence.

01 · Main
Protect the primary outcomeDo not allow hospitality, queue or content capture to displace the reason the venue was rented.
02 · Support
Reserve non-public areaCoats, packaging, cases, replenishment, staff and waste need real floor area.
03 · Overlap
Test the busiest transitionModel buyer arrivals during a fitting, media interview or catering replenishment.
04 · Reduce
Remove low-value functionsIf routes still conflict, cut simultaneous attendance, furniture, product or secondary programme.

150–250 m² venue checklist.

Use a measured plan and complete occupation schedule.

Confirm gross and net usable area by room, floor and access condition.
Define the primary commercial use and no more than the justified support uses.
Draw furniture, product, technical, hospitality and back-of-house at real size.
Calculate simultaneous appointments, staff, guests and suppliers by zone and time.
Test entrance, waiting, fitting, toilets, stairs, lift, deliveries and accessible movement.
Verify light, acoustics, climate, power, internet, security and public-use conditions.
Schedule installation, tests, programme transitions, removal, cleaning and handover.
Compare total operating fit and production cost—not rent per square metre alone.

PUBLIC VENUE SPECIFICATIONS ARE EXAMPLES. CURRENT CAPACITY, PUBLIC-ACCESS STATUS, ACCESSIBILITY, CONDITION AND AVAILABILITY REQUIRE PROJECT-SPECIFIC VERIFICATION.
