Internet and Wi-Fi planning for a Paris showroom
A network that loads one phone during a visit is not evidence for a live showroom. Connectivity should be designed around critical tasks, simultaneous devices, room coverage, security and a tested backup, with the most important workflows protected from guest demand.
Four network questions
Start with the business process, not a headline speed.
Classify each workload by consequence.
Guest convenience should not consume the same unprotected capacity as payment, presentation or production.

Build resilience in three layers.
No single speed test can replace architecture and rehearsal.
Qualify the fixed connection
Identify service type, handoff, equipment, contract owner and any access credentials. Test download, upload, latency and stability at relevant times, but judge success through the actual application.
Design coverage and separation
Map access-point positions, walls, floors, device density and wired routes. Separate business-critical, production and guest traffic where appropriate, with named administration.
Prepare an independent path
Cellular or specialist backup must be tested inside the exact rooms and under event conditions. Check power, data allowance, hardware, switching procedure and responsible technician.
Rehearse failure before opening.
Disconnect or disable the primary path and ask the team to continue payment, appointment presentation, guest check-in or production. The exercise exposes cached credentials, missing cables, weak mobile coverage, expired data plans and unclear ownership while there is time to correct them.
