AMONT · PARIS FASHION WEEK TIMING GUIDE

When to book a Paris Fashion Week showroom

The right start date depends on how rigid the brief is. A fixed Marais street, a large usable surface, public access or heavy production requires an earlier search than a flexible appointment showroom. Booking late is possible; pretending the trade-offs do not exist is not.

A practical booking framework—not a promise of availability.

These are AMONT planning bands. Rigidity matters more than a universal month count.

Planning positionWhat is still realisticMain riskRequired action
Six months or moreDefine the operating brief, compare districts and inspect strong-fit venues before the market compresses.Holding too many vague options without an internal decision route.Set budget, decision-maker, preferred format and non-negotiables.
Three to six monthsA credible window for many independent and established showroom searches when dates and programme are clear.Prime streets or recurring venues may already be committed.Request comparable quotes and move quickly from shortlist to visit.
Six to twelve weeksA constrained search: useful options can remain, but exact street, architecture or owner flexibility may disappear.Production time shrinks while contract and insurance still need completion.Separate essential constraints from preferences immediately.
Under six weeksRecovery mode. Solve the commercial operation with the best viable venue, not the original moodboard.False choice, rushed approvals, weak access planning and expensive late production.Allow district, frontage, size or finish trade-offs and keep one decision owner.

What forces an earlier decision?

Every additional fixed condition narrows the credible market.

Location

One street or micro-zone

A broad Marais search is not the same as requiring one block of Turenne or Charlot. A precise buyer route creates fewer substitutes.

Earlier when · the address is commercially non-negotiable
Format

Large or technically unusual

High ceilings, vehicle access, several entrances, public capacity or a large single-floor volume are not interchangeable with gross square metres.

Earlier when · architecture carries the programme
Occupation

Public or hybrid use

Retail, press, evening events, catering and music require more written confirmations than private appointments.

Earlier when · several activities share the venue
Organisation

Slow internal approval

A venue cannot remain indefinitely on hold while legal, procurement, production and HQ review the same unresolved brief.

Earlier when · several stakeholders can block signature

Do not book the show dates. Book the occupation.

The usable commercial period begins only after the collection, furniture, internet and team are installed—and it ends only after removal, cleaning, condition review and key return.

You are ready to request options when these answers exist.

If several are missing, the search will return attractive but incomparable spaces.

Official season and the brand's actual sales window are confirmed.
Installation, live, dismantling and handover dates and hours are separated.
Buyer, press, public and evening uses are stated rather than implied.
Preferred districts are ranked, with acceptable alternatives.
Usable surface is derived from collection, appointments, worktables and storage.
Venue rent and total operating budget are distinguished.
The internal approver and decision deadline are named.
Insurance, contracting entity and payment readiness are understood.
