What to do after Paris Fashion Week showroom appointments
A showroom appointment is not finished when the buyer leaves. Selections, questions, draft orders, missing assets and promises must enter a controlled commercial workflow while the conversation is still intelligible. At the same time, the team should capture venue and operating lessons before dismantling erases the evidence. The objective is not to send more messages. It is to preserve the exact decision and make the next action easy.
Four outputs should survive Paris
If one is missing, the week loses value.

Classify every appointment before sending anything.
Different outcomes require different information and urgency.
| Appointment state | Record now | Next delivery | Owner question |
|---|---|---|---|
| Order confirmed | Order reference, products, quantities, terms, exceptions and approval status | Clean confirmation through the approved commercial system | Who verifies and acknowledges the order? |
| Draft order | Current quantities, open conditions and missing approvals | Updated draft with explicit unresolved items | What prevents confirmation? |
| Buyer edit saved | Exact styles, colours, sizes and comments | Curated line sheet or saved digital selection | What internal review will the buyer run? |
| Product information requested | Question, style reference, format and deadline | Only the requested information, current and attributable | Who owns the accurate answer? |
| Samples or content requested | Items, destination, usage, return and rights conditions | Approved asset or sample process | Who authorises release and tracks return? |
| New account qualification | Store, market, category, positioning and commercial fit | Relevant account documents and next conversation | Who decides whether to progress? |
| No immediate fit | Reason, future season or category signal, if stated | Close respectfully or schedule a justified later touchpoint | Is there a real future reason to contact? |
| No-show or cancelled | Status, communication and any reschedule context | One clear rescheduling route if still relevant | Is the opportunity active or simply unclosed? |
Run two debriefs in parallel.
Commercial follow-up and venue learning serve different decisions and should not be mixed into one vague recap.
Convert notes into account-specific next actions
Consolidate attendance, products reviewed, selections, objections, order status and promised materials. Send the relevant next step through the approved sales process, not a generic message to every visitor.
Capture how the showroom actually performed
Record arrival friction, room capacity, product density, work areas, connectivity, hospitality, storage, supplier access and reset. Use photographs and issue logs while the occupation is still fresh.
Decide what changes next season
Compare target accounts, attendance, appointment quality, commercial outcomes and venue performance against the original brief. Do not renew or move from emotion alone; identify the specific condition that should change.
Fast is useful only when the record is accurate.
A rushed generic email can destroy the specificity created in the room. Consolidate notes quickly, then send the smallest useful next step with a clear owner and deadline.
