AMONT · WHOLESALE WORKSPACE GUIDE

Order writing and buyer work areas in a fashion showroom

The buyer work area is where interest becomes a usable commercial record. It may support a live order, a saved edit, product notes, quantity discussion or a clearly assigned follow-up. The space should let buyer and sales representative see the same products and information without blocking the collection route or exposing another account’s terms. Start with the order workflow, then specify the table, technology and room position.

Four layers make the workstation

Furniture alone does not create order readiness.

Build the buyer station around the commercial sequence.

Each component needs a place, an owner and a reset routine.

Design for three legitimate appointment outcomes.

Not every strong meeting closes in the room; every meeting still needs a controlled record.

Order

Write or confirm the order during the appointment

Use when product, pricing, quantities, terms and buyer authority are ready. Review the summary together and record what remains conditional rather than treating a draft as a final commitment.

Output · order record
Edit

Save a buyer-specific selection

Use when the buyer needs internal review, budget allocation or category alignment. Record exact styles, variants, open questions and the agreed next action so the follow-up is not a generic lookbook email.

Output · curated edit
Next step

Capture qualified interest without forcing closure

Use when the account is new, information is incomplete or timing is wrong. Assign an owner, deliverable and deadline. “Follow up” without a subject or date is not a commercial outcome.

Output · owned action
AMONT field position

The order table should reduce ambiguity, not perform importance.

A large ceremonial desk is useless if the line sheet is outdated, the Wi-Fi fails or selected samples have no controlled place. Prioritise shared visibility, current data and a clean handoff.

01 · Current
Control versionsName the active price list, line sheet, delivery schedule and commercial terms.
02 · Visible

03 · Private

04 · Reset
Clear after every slotReturn samples, close records, remove names and prepare the station for the next account.

Buyer work-area checklist.

Complete with sales, merchandising, operations and IT owners.

Define whether the station supports live orders, saved edits, notes or all three.
List devices, chargers, adapters, logins, printers, paper and offline fallback materials.
Confirm current product data, prices, currencies, delivery windows, minimums and terms.
Choose a table position that follows product review without blocking arrival or circulation.
Provide enough surface for buyer notes, selected products and shared information.
Test power, internet and platform access under the actual venue conditions.
Create a temporary selected-product zone with clear account ownership.
Protect personal data, account terms and previous buyer information between appointments.
Define who checks, saves, confirms and follows each commercial record.
Rehearse one live order, one unfinished edit and one connectivity failure before opening.
