Temporary signage and window vinyl for Paris venues
A window graphic is not merely a print order. It touches the venue agreement, façade rules, glass condition, visibility, daylight, public information, installer access, removal and deposit exposure. Obtain property approval and verify the applicable Paris process before production files are released.
Four approvals before printing
A finished PDF is not permission to install.

Separate the device before asking what is permitted.
Terminology affects the approval route. Send a drawing and description rather than the vague word signage.
| Element | Practical description | Confirm with | Production evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| Internal window display | Graphic or object located inside and intended to be seen through the window | Venue, building rules and current public requirements | Elevation, setback, lighting and attachment method |
| Adhesive window vinyl | Applied film, lettering, frosting or full/partial coverage on glazing | Owner or operator, glass specialist and applicable Paris process | Material data, coverage, colour, install and removal method |
| Façade sign | Device fixed, suspended, painted or attached to the exterior | Venue, co-ownership/building authority where relevant and Ville de Paris | Dimensioned elevation, fixings, light and dates |
| Pavement element | A-board, queue sign, barrier dressing or other item outside the rented interior | Venue and competent public-space authority | Exact footprint, hours, safety and removal |
| Event wayfinding | Door, lobby, courtyard, stair or lift guidance | Venue and building/common-area manager | Route map, surfaces, fixing and installation timing |
| Digital or illuminated sign | Screen, projector, lightbox or illuminated lettering | Venue, electrical/technical lead and applicable sign rules | Brightness, power, timing, heat, structure and control |
Control the technical risk before installation day.
The same visual can behave differently on old, treated, heated or damaged glass.
Inspect and test
Record glass type, existing scratches, films, seals and direct sun. Ask the installer to approve the product and removal method on the actual surface.
Balance image and operation
Full coverage can change daylight, inward visibility, security observation and the room's presentation. Test from street and interior at the relevant hours.
Treat close-out as production
Book labour, tools, residue removal and inspection. Do not let a general dismantling team improvise on valuable glazing in the final hour.
Approve in the correct order.
First define the message and exact surface. Then secure venue approval, identify the public classification and required process, validate the installer and material, issue production, install under recorded condition and remove before handover.
Temporary signage and vinyl checklist.
Complete it before sending artwork to print.
Regulatory requirements must be reconfirmed for each project. The signed agreement, applicable public authorisation and final approved drawing take precedence over general guidance.
