Paris pop-up store cost: rent, production and operating budget
A realistic Paris pop-up budget cannot be built from rent alone. The venue, occupation days, fit-out, fixtures, staff, stock security, payments, cleaning, services and reinstatement form one operating cost—even when different suppliers invoice them.
Split the budget into four envelopes
Do not hide production inside a vague contingency.

Indicative venue-rent planning bands.
These AMONT bands are for central Paris temporary commercial occupations, generally around five to ten days. The pop-up's exact use can move the quote materially.
| Format | Indicative venue rent | What can fit | Cost pressure |
|---|---|---|---|
| 30–70 m² compact boutique | €6,000–€15,000 | Focused capsule, accessories, beauty or appointment-retail crossover | Prime frontage, Fashion Week, corner exposure and minimum packages |
| 70–150 m² independent store | €12,000–€25,000 | Core fashion, footwear, design or lifestyle retail with reserve | Street quality, approved public use, season and included infrastructure |
| 150–300 m² central venue | €25,000–€50,000 | Flagship activation, several product zones, content and hospitality | Long frontage, recognised address, architecture and complex occupation |
| 300–750+ m² large experience | €40,000–€80,000+ | Immersive public programme, exhibition, launch and event crossover | Technical production, security, utilities and staffing can exceed rent |
The rental invoice is only one layer.
A lower rent is not a saving if the space needs more work to open correctly.
Price the full occupation
Count installation, testing, public days, weekend or late access, dismantling and handover. Add stated tax, agency or management fees and utilities.
Design around the room
Window vinyl, paint, walls, flooring protection, rails, shelves, fitting, mirrors, lighting, tools, labour and removal can rival rent.
Budget every opening hour
Store managers, sales staff, hosts, security, cleaners, technicians and replenishment support scale with hours and traffic, not only surface.
Fund the transaction
Stock transport, secure reserve, packaging, payment terminals, connectivity, returns and daily reporting are commercial infrastructure.
Compare complete operating scenarios, not headline rents.
A more expensive venue can be the lower-risk option when it already provides the right frontage, fixtures, access, storage, internet and public operating conditions.
What a comparable pop-up quote must state.
If two offers describe different occupations, the lower total proves nothing.
