AMONT · PARIS VENUE BRIEF TEMPLATE

How to write a decision-ready Paris venue brief

A useful venue brief explains the decision AMONT must make. It separates true requirements from preferences, describes the operating day as well as the visible concept, and gives a budget and approval route that can support a live search.

The brief has four layers

Each one removes a different sourcing error.

01 · Purpose
What must the venue achieve?
02 · Place
Where and what kind of room?
03 · Operation
How will it load, open and close?
04 · Decision
Who can approve and sign?

FieldWhat to provideWhy it changes the searchCommon weak answer
Objective + successOne primary project job and the evidence of successSeparates showroom, store, launch, activation and event formats“A premium brand experience”
Audience + demandBuyer, press, public or invited guests; expected peaks and acquisition planDetermines frontage, access, privacy, capacity and location logic“Everyone” or an unqualified total guest count
Dates + accessInstall, rehearsal, public/sales days, reset and removalChanges availability, quote length, handover and supplier feasibilityOnly the opening date
LocationRequired district or street, acceptable alternatives and the reasonAllows AMONT to protect the commercial need without overfitting a postcode“Central Paris”
Usable programmeProduct, zones, rack/fixture lengths, meetings, service and back-of-houseReplaces an arbitrary square-metre target with a testable room plan“Around 200 sqm, flexible”
OperationsDeliveries, build, power, water, internet, hospitality, music, public use and hoursEliminates attractive spaces that cannot run the programme“Standard event setup”
BudgetVenue ceiling, total project budget, tax/currency basis and contingencyPrevents a venue shortlist that starves production or cannot be approved“Best rate”
Decision + entityDecision maker, contracting party, adviser path and signature deadlineShows whether a live option can be secured before it expires“HQ will decide later”

Label every criterion must, prefer or avoid.

This is the fastest way to make trade-offs explicit.

Must

Failure makes the project impossible

Examples may include exact dates, ground-floor product delivery, a minimum clear height or public retail permission. Keep the list short and evidenced.

Test · binary · operational or commercial
Prefer

Value that can be traded

A specific street, architectural finish or second entrance may be worth paying for, but should not silently eliminate a better operational option.

Test · relative · price versus benefit
Avoid

Known sources of risk

Examples include stairs for heavy product, a residential courtyard for evening sound or fragmented rooms for one continuous collection.

Test · learned constraint · explain why

Measured requirementsProduct, rack, plinth, screen, vehicle and build dimensions are more useful than mood words.
02 · Mark
Unresolved itemsDo not hide uncertainty; name who will answer and by when.

04 · Protect
Separate confidential dataShare identities or private commercial context only through the appropriate project channel.

Brief readiness check before AMONT starts the search.

A search can begin with some uncertainty, but not with contradictory fundamentals.

The primary use and customer or guest action are stated plainly.
Dates include all property access, not only public opening.
The geographic requirement has a commercial reason and acceptable alternatives.
The area request is supported by zones, objects and peak people movement.
Heavy, tall, powered, connected, catered or public-use requirements are visible.
Venue rent and total project budgets are separated and internally approved.
The contracting entity, insurance route and authorised decision maker are known.
The signature deadline is compatible with the requested dates and market pressure.

AMONT CAN CHALLENGE AND REFINE THE BRIEF, BUT A LIVE SEARCH SHOULD NOT BE USED TO DISCOVER WHETHER THE PROJECT HAS A BUDGET, OWNER OR OPERATING MODEL.
